Fee-for-service: Predominant, Winning & Stupid

Health care remains dead set on fee for service and there are plenty of companies that live precisely off this system. In the thirty plus years I’ve been looking at American health care none of the promise of value-based care has made fee-for-service less prevalent. In fact it’s usually just added to the complexity of it while using FFS as a base.
