Value-based care is increasingly prevalent as a healthcare delivery model. This model influences how physicians approach patient care by focusing on preventative, quality-based care over volume-based fee-for-service models. While there is a definitive shift toward value-based care, this topic remains underemphasized in many medical schools and residency programs. Unfortunately, this leaves many practitioners ill-equipped to integrate value-based care into their practice.
